Production Experience
Denise’s writing is informed by over a decade of hands-on production experience. Her journey behind the camera began on her first show, where she was encouraged to shadow senior writers, giving her a masterclass in the craft of producing.
As she rose through the writing ranks, she personally managed productions in key industry hubs from Santa Clarita and Albuquerque to New Orleans and Vancouver, giving her a practical understanding of how to bring a script to life on time and on budget.
This frontline experience equipped her to solve complex creative challenges: re-engineering an entire act overnight to fit a new location, transforming a budgetary constraint into a visual motif, and working with department heads to make sure the story is achievable.
It has also made her an indispensable asset, capable of shepherding a vision from the writer’s room to the final cut.
